Configure DOP Settings for Site

Explanation

This activity is used to configure site settings related to Dynamic Order Processing (DOP).

Based on the setting configuration, system will behave differently when working with DOP orders.

If the DOP Auto Close check box is selected, DOP orders that fulfill the following criteria will be automatically closed:

The the Qty Complete is equal, or higher than the Order Qty field in the DOP Order window.
There are no parts left in temporary inventory (Example: If there were parts received from a purchase order that were reserved against a DOP order, the parts would be in temporary inventory).
All parts for the DOP order must be delivered.
All child DOP orders must be closed.

If the DOP order immediately under the DOP header is closed, the DOP header will also be closed.

Site

Open the Site window, search for your site and then click the Extended Site Info/Manufacturing/General tab.
Select the DOP Auto Close check box if you want DOP orders that meets the auto close criteria should be automatically closed.
Select the Allow MRP explosion for DOP part check box if you want MRP supplies to be generated for all the non-DOP components in the standard BOM(multilevel) of DOP parts when the DOP parts are planned by master scheduling.
Select the Allow configuration changes for DOP header with closed DOP orders check box if you want configuration changes for a DOP header to be allowed even if the changes affect closed DOP orders.
Select the Create Purchase Requisition from DOP in Released Status check box if you want purchase requisitions created from DOP to be created in status Released. If not selected, it will be created in status Planned.
