Calculate Historical Average Daily Usage

Explanation

This activity is used to calculate historical average daily usage based on historical issues. Issues within the rolling horizon will be considered in the calculation.

Prerequisites

• Part should be defined as buffered part.
• ADU rolling horizon and the ADU alert horizon need to be defined in the relevant lead time categories.
• Unprotected lead time of the part should be calculated.

System Effects

• Historical ADU, ADU alerts and coefficient of variability will be calculated and variability category assigned for these parts.
• ADU alert message will be created by evaluating the conditions.

Procedure

From the Calculate Historical Average Daily Usage dialog box:

1. Select Site if you want to perform the calculation for all the buffered parts in the site. If Site is not filled then all the buffered parts defined in the user allowed sites will be considered in the calculation.
2. Click OK.

To schedule the task as a background job:

1. Click Schedule to open the New Database Task Schedule window. Set the scheduling parameters as desired and save. Scheduled tasks can be seen in Scheduled Database Tasks window.
