Update Consolidation Budget

Explanation

Use this activity to gather the budget values from the the selected subsidiaries so you can update the consolidation budget. Note: You can perform this activity only if you are an authorized user in the parent company.

Prerequisites

All of the basic data for snapshot consolidation must be defined. See the activity diagrams for BDR for Company Consolidation Parent Company and BDR for Company Consolidation Subsidiary in the Prepare Snapshot Consolidation process model for more information.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the consolidation snapshot information will be updated and the budget values from the subsidiaries will be available for analysis and reporting purposes.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to update the consolidation budget online:

  1. Open the Update Consolidation Budget window.
  2. Enter the subsidiary ID or IDs of the companies for which the consolidation budget should be updated.
  3. Specify the budget year and the budget version information, if available.
  4. Specify the accounting currency information for the currency type to use when updating the snapshot.
  5. If the consolidation snapshot is to include quantities and statistical accounts, select the relevant check boxes.
  6. Confirm the information.

Use the following procedure to update the consolidation budget using batch scheduling:

  1. Open the Update Consolidation Budget window.
  2. Click Schedule to open up the Create New Task Schedule where you can set up batch scheduling information.
