Match Open Items in Internal Ledger
Explanation
This activity is used to match one or more debit items with one or more
credit items posted to the same account for a selected Internal Ledger.
Prerequisites
In order to perform this activity, transactions with debit and credit
postings to the specified account must exist for the selected Internal Ledger.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, Matching Date and Matching ID fields in the
Matched
Transactions section of the Internal Ledger Account Matching
window will be updated for the matched transactions. It will also be
possible to view the matching details in the
IL Voucher Rows Analysis and
IL Voucher Details Analysis windows.

Procedure
To match open items in an Internal Ledger:
- Open the Internal Ledger Account Matching dialog box.
- Click Ledger ID to select the relevant Internal Ledger.
- Enter the account for which you want to match ledger items in the
Account field.
- Specify the period to which the ledger items to be matched should belong
in the Period field.
- Select either Normal option or the Simulation option to
specify the voucher category that should be available for matching.
- Click OK to open the Internal Ledger Account Matching
window in which all ledger items posted to the selected account and
Internal Ledger are displayed.
- Select two or more rows to be matched. To do so, you can either select
the Match Transaction check box or right-click and then click either
Mark All Rows or Mark Selected Rows. (Note: The transactions selected for matching should
balance i.e. the sum of their amounts must equal zero for the transactions
to be finally matched. If the transactions
do not balance, they will only be temporarily saved with a preliminary
matching ID.)
- Save the changes.
