Generate PM Action
Explanation
This activity is used to create a new PM action from a
work task template.
Prerequisites
- Equipment objects must have been registered in Equipment in order to
be selected on a record with Connection Type EQUIPMENT.
- Sites must have been registered and connected to the
users in
Sites per User.
- Actions and maintenance organizations must have been registered in Maintenance Basic data.
- The work task template should be active
and has a valid site in the Valid for Sites tab in the
Work Task Template window.
System Effects
- A PM action will be generated with all the information
from the work task template. The new PM action will receive the Preliminary
status.
- The task template ID and revision will be connected
to the
Jobs and Templates tab of the
PM Action window.

Procedure
- Open the Work Task Template
window.
- Query for an active and
valid work task template (F3).
- Right-click and then click Generate PM Action.
The Create PM Action from
Work
Task Template dialog box opens.
- Enter values in the
Site,
Object ID,
Action,
PM Group ID (if applicable), Start Unit
and Start Value (only applicable if the work task template has a Calendar
Maintenance Trigger), and
Maint Org
fields. Click List to select suitable values.
- Click OK.
