Enter Permit Type
Explanation
Use this activity to connect a permit type to a PM (Preventive Maintenance) Action. A common
permit
type is Safety Regulations, intended to ensure employee safety. Permits are
created and connected to the work order upon generation,
and could be printed along with the work order. You can also link permit types used for
pure instructions for the PM action.
An isolation can also be connected to the permit type.
Isolations describe how a certain part of the facility should be shut down
temporarily, so that the specified work can be carried out under safe
conditions.
Prerequisites
- Permit types, isolation types and a connection between them must have been
defined in
Work Order and PM Basic Data.
- Isolations must have been defined in IFS/Equipment.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, permit types and
isolations (where applicable) are connected to the PM action.
