Enable/Disable Revision Control
Explanation
Use this activity to enable/ disable revision
control on an existing PM action, however, it is normally done before a PM
action is started.
When Revision Control is ON;
- A PM action revision that is in active status can only be updated with restrictions
if revision control is enabled and major changes
such as entering new jobs, changing criteria associated with maintenance plan,
changing maintenance organization, etc, cannot be performed.
- You are able to keep track of the changes performed on PM actions as
versions.
When Revision Control is OFF;
- It is possible to make changes to a PM action without having to create new PM
action revision.
- Almost all types of changes are allowed but you will
lose control of all changes done.
Prerequisites
A PM action revision in Active or Obsolete
status should exist in the system.
System Effects
As a result of this activity a journal entry is
created in the PM action that the revision control has been enabled/ disabled.
