Connect Resources to a PM Action
Explanation
Use this activity to plan resources for the PM action. Here, you
can plan the persons and tool/equipments you expect to need to perform the work.
Prerequisites
- Current work task template
Work List tab
retrieved, for a PM action.
- Persons and Tool/Equipment to be
defined and connected to a Resource Group.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, resources lines are connected to the PM action.

Procedure
- Open the PM Action window, and
query for an existing work task template.
- Click the Work List/Resources tab and create a new record (F5).
- Enter a value in the Demand Type field.
Use the dropdown menu to select a suitable value.
- Enter the resources group required for the work list in the Resources Group.
- Enter the quantity (planned men or number of tool/equipments) required in the Planned Quantity field.
- Enter the resource in the Resource ID field. Note: A
Resource ID can only be entered when the planned quantity is 1 and vice
versa.
- If you want to invoice the price of the resources to a customer, enter
the Sales Part No.
- Enter any other optional information in the
Remark
field.
- Save the information (F12).
Note: Additionally, the Additional Qualification could be
defined on resource lines with Person demand type.
