Connect Customer to PM Action

Explanation

Use this activity to connect customer, service contracts and sales price to a PM action. 

Prerequisites

Before the customer information is connected to the PM action, the following must have been completed:

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the customer, service contract, sales part, price, and currency is linked to the PM action. When a work order is created for the PM action, the information is included in the work order.

          Service Contract will be connected to the Work Order when there is a Service Contract stated on the PM Action.

If only one Service Contract is found, it will be connected to the Work Order automatically.

If more than one Service Contracts are found, the service contract with the latest valid from date will be connected to the Work Order.

If no Service Contract is found, no Work Order will be generated.

Procedure

  1. Select the Customer Information tab.
  2. In the Customer No. field, use List of Values to select a suitable value.
  3. In the Contract ID and Line No fields, enter the applicable service contact and service line. Use List of Values to select a suitable value. 
  4. Save the information.

Note: If you want to select the relevant service contract automatically when generating the Work Order, select Auto Select Service Contract checkbox. It is not mandatory to specify the Customer No., Contract ID, or Line No. when this option is selected.
