Link Matrix Structure to Companies

Explanation

This activity is used to link a matrix structure to one or several companies.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, a company ID and a matrix structure ID have to be registered in the system.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• Employees from linked companies will be available for assignment to a matrix structure.
• Additional options for cross-structure access management will become available.
• Pre-postings from linked companies will become available for matrix organization units.

Procedure

1. Open the Graphical Organization Structure window.
2. Search or populate to find the matrix structure you want to connect to other companies.
3. Navigate to the Companies tab and create a new record.
4. In the Company ID field, select an ID of a company that you want to connect.
5. Keep adding records for every company you want to connect.
6. Save the information.

Note: Matrix structures have to be connected to at least one company at all times. Due to that, every matrix structure will be automatically connected to the company of a user that created it . To change this assignment, first add a new connection, and then delete the previous one.
