Create Corrective And Preventive Action Line

Explanation

This activity is used to create additional action lines for a Corrective And Preventive Action (CAPA). One action line is created when the CAPA is released.

Prerequisites

A CAPA must exist in status Released.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, at least one action line is added to the CAPA. A responsible person will be set on the action line. This person is the next to act and will decide who shall carry out the Investigation step.

Procedure

To add action lines to the corrective or preventive action:

1. Select the Actions tab in the Corrective and Preventive Action window.
2. Click anywhere in the table to select it. 
3. Create a new record.
4. Note that the Line No field is system-generated.
5. Enter the Responsible Person ID. This is a required field. The value is fetched from the CAPA header, but you can change it.
6. Enter a date in the Target Date field. This is a required field.
7. Click Save.
