Report Tool Usage

Explanation

Use this activity to report usage of operation tools.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• The part must have one or several tools connected to one or several operations.
• A tool ID and tool instance must be defined in Manufacturing Tool.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, tools used to perform the operation is reported.

Procedure

Tool usage can be reported from Shop Floor Workbench, Report Operation or Report Work Center Operation.

Shop Floor Workbench

1. Query or populate the operation for which you want to report tool usage.
2. Click Report Tool to open the Report Tool Usage dialog.
3. Enter the tool instances you have used for the operation.
4. Press OK.

Report Operation

1. Select the operation for which you want to report tool usage.
2. Right mouse click and then click Report Tool Usage.
3. Enter the tool instances you have used for the operation.
4. Press OK.

Report Work Center Operation

1. Select the operation for which you want to report tool usage.
2. Right mouse click and then click Report Tool Usage.
3. Enter the tool instances you have used for the operation.
4. Press OK.

To report usage of tools that is not connected to the operation, press New in the dialog followed by List, and then select the check box Show All.
