Calculate Average Cost
Explanation
This activity is used to calculate the average cost of a product family,
using either a specific cost set or inventory value.

System Effects
An average cost based on inventory value or a selected cost set will be
calculated. If selected, the average cost field will be updated.

Procedure
- Select the MS Set that you want to calculate average cost for.
- Right click and then click Calculate Average Cost.
- In the Cost Type field, select Use Inventory
or Use specified Cost Set.
- If applicable, in the Cost Set field, specify the cost
set to be used. Use the List of Values to select from available cost sets.
- To update average cost, select the Update Average Cost check box.
- Press OK.
