Add, Copy or Reset MS Level 1 Forecast Sets
Explanation
These activities are used to add two or more level 1 forecasts into one forecast
or copy or reset forecasts.
When you
add forecasts on level 1, you can include the forecast values from level 0. These
values usually come from the corresponding master schedule set on level 0.
When you copy a level 1 forecast from one master schedule set to another, you can copy from only one set at a time. When you copy forecasts on level 1, you can
choose to include the forecast values from level 0. These values usually come from the
corresponding master schedule set on level 0.
It is also possible to reset the level 1 forecast of one or more master schedule
sets. This means that the value of the forecast on level 1 is set to 0 (zero). This
activity is useful if you want to refresh the forecasts in a specific master schedule set,
i.e., start over from the beginning. When you reset the forecasts for level 1, you can
reset the forecast values from level 0. These forecast values usually originate from the
corresponding master schedule set on level 0.
Prerequisites
To perform this activity, a master schedule set must be registered in order to add, copy or reset
it.
System Effects
- When adding to a forecast set, the values from the selected master
schedule sets are added into one forecast. If the target set contains forecast values, these values are
included. If there is a master schedule proposal in the target set, it is left unchanged.
Only forecast fields are combined.
- When you copy forecasts, all forecast information in
the target set is deleted before the forecast is copied. Resetting a forecast set means
that the value of the selected forecast(s) is set to zero.
- When resetting forecasts, if there is a consumed forecast, the forecast
record will not be reset.
