Split Reserved Lot

Explanation

This activity is used to split a reserved lot/batch number into sub-lots.

Prerequisites

System Effects

As a result of this activity, new lot/batch number(s) with the specified lot/batch quantity will be generated and reserved to the shop order requisition or shop order. The lot/batch quantity of the original lot/batch number will be reduced accordingly. The lot/batch number(s) will be generated following the syntax of the original lot/batch number followed by and index number. I.e. splitting lot/batch number 123456-*-*-1 into two sub-lots will generated the lot/batch numbers 123456-*-*-1:1 and 123456-*-*-1:2.

Procedure

To split a specific lot/batch number from the Shop Order Requisition, or Shop Order window:

  1. Search for the relevant shop order requisition or shop order.
  2. Select the lot/batch number to split on the Lots/Batches tab. Right-click and then click Split Lot. The Split Lot Assistant appears.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Create a new row and enter the quantity to transfer to the sub-lot in the Manufactured Lot or Batch Quantity Reserved field.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Repeat step 4-5 to generate all the required sub-lots.
  7. Click Finish.

To split a lot/batch number from the Shop Order Requisition, Shop Order Requisitions or Shop Order window:

  1. Search for the relevant shop order requisition or shop order.
  2. From the Shop Order Requisitions window, right-click and then click Split Lot. From the Shop Order Requisitions window, right-click, point to Lot/Batch No and then click Split Lot. From the Shop Order window, right-click, point to Tracking and then click Split Lot. The Split Lot Assistant appears.
  3. Select the lot/batch number to split and click Next.
  4. Create a new row and enter the quantity to transfer to the sub-lot in the Manufactured Lot or Batch Quantity Reserved field.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Repeat step 4-5 to generate all the required sub-lots.
  7. Click Finish.
