Print Shop Order Work Instruction Report

Explanation

Use this activity to print a work instruction with or without a barcode number for a shop order, or for one or several shop order operations. You can preview your work instruction before printing it. Work instructions with barcode numbers are used to report operations based on the barcode number.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that a shop order must be created.

Procedure

To print the report for a shop order:

  1. Search for the shop order for which you want to print the work instruction report in the Shop Order, Shop Orders, MRO Shop Order, Disposition Shop Order or Production Line Management/Shop Orders window.
  2. Right-click, point to Reports and then select Work Instruction. The Work Instructions Report Options dialog box will appear.
  3. In the Output Type list, select Standard to print the report without barcodes, or Barcode to print the report with barcodes for operation ID and operation block ID.
  4. Optionally, specify the operation number(s) to include in the report in the Operation No(s) field. Several operation numbers should be separated by a comma. Leave this field blank to include all operations in the report.
  5. Optionally, enter a note in the Note field. The text entered here will be saved in the shop order history record created.
  6. Optionally, clear one or several of the Include Normal Operations, Include Non-routine Operations and Include Normal Operations check boxes to only include operations with specific work types in the report.
  7. If you want the report to include media items, select Print Attached Media items. If you want to include attached documents, select Print Attached Documents.
  8. Click OK and the Report Format & Output dialog box will appear. You can select the required page layout and language in this dialog box.
  9. After you make necessary changes, click OK to print the report directly, click Cancel to abort the print job, or click Preview to preview the report.
  10. If you select Preview, the report is displayed for review. After reviewing it, click Print to print the report.

To print the report for one or several shop order operations:

  1. Search for the shop order operation(s) for which you want to print the work instruction report in the Shop Order/Operations, Shop Order Operations, MRO Shop Order/Operations or Disposition Shop Order/Operations window.
  2. Right-click, point to Reports and then select Work Instruction. The Work Instructions Report Options dialog box will appear with the selected operation number(s) automatically entered in the Operation No(s) field.
  3. In the Output Type list, select Standard to print the report without barcodes, or Barcode to print the report with barcodes for operation ID and operation block ID.
  4. Optionally, enter a note in the Note field. The text entered here will be saved in the shop order history record created.
  5. If you want the report to include media items, select Print Attached Media items. If you want to include attached documents, select Print Attached Documents.
  6. Click OK and the Report Format & Output dialog box will appear. You can select the required page layout and language in this dialog box.
  7. After you make necessary changes, click OK to print the report directly, click Cancel to abort the print job, or click Preview to preview the report.
