Modify Ongoing Operation
Explanation
This activity is used to register changes for an ongoing operation or a set of operations.
I.e. adding/removing employee/team and starting/stopping machine/labor time.
Prerequisites
- A production or setup activity must have been started on the operation.
- The Crew Size can only be modified if Reporting Mode has
been set to Anonymous Reporting on the used site.
- Employees can only be added and removed if Reporting Mode has
been set to Employee Reporting on the used site.
- If an employee qualification requirement
exists for the operation, and the qualification check for the site is
mandatory, then the reporting employee(s) must have those qualifications.
System Effects
- If the Machine Time check box is selected a new machine clocking
sequence will be created.
- If the Labor Time check box is selected a new labor clocking
sequence will be created.
- If an Employee is added a new labor clocking sequence will be created.
- If Machine Time check box is not selected, the machine clocking
sequence will be stopped and one operation history transaction will be
created per operation. (For more information see Stop Production/Stop Setup

- If the Labor Time check box is not selected all active labor
clockings sequences will be stopped and one operation history transaction
will be created per employee and operation. (For more information see Stop
Production/ Stop Setup activities)
- If an Employee is removed this clocking sequence will be stopped and one
operation history transaction will be created per operation. (For more
information see Stop Production/Stop Setup activities).
- If the value in the Crew Size field is changed, the labor
clocking will be stopped and one operation history transaction will be
created per operation. A new labor clocking sequence will be created
carrying the new crew size value. (For more information see Stop Production/
Stop Setup activities)
- If the Clocking Note is changed the new note will be saved on all
active clocking sequences.
- If the Resource is changed, the machine clocking will be stopped
and one operation history transaction will be created per operation. A new
machine clocking sequence will be created carrying the new resource value.

Modify Ongoing Operation
Procedure
From Modify Operation dialog box:
- In the Shop Floor Workbench window, select the operation and
click Modify Ong. Operation.
- The Modify Ongoing Operation dialog box will open.
- Update the parameters in the dialog to reflect the new situation.
- Click OK. The started and stopped clockings can be viewed from the
Clockings tab.
