Configure Shop Floor Reporting Settings

This activity is used to configure settings related to shop floor reporting.

Based on the setting configuration, system will depend differently when reporting shop order operations, indirect jobs and machine downtime.

Procedure

  1. Open the Site window, search for your site and then click the Extended Site Info/Manufacturing/General tab.
  2. In Calendar Consideration field, you choose how you want the system to calculate reported time intervals that falls outside the calendar. (If IFS Human Resources is installed, the ideal option to use is Include Calendar Time and Overtime).
  3. In Reporting Mode field you choose whether the reported labor time should be registered on employees or anonymously.
  4. If you want the system to automatically trigger the Enter As dialog box, after the shop floor workbench has been left some time idle, check the Auto Trigger Enter As Dialog check box and enter the number of seconds when the dialog should be triggered in Time Idle field.
  5. If you select the Authorization Required check box, it indicates that manufacturing transactions can be authorized. If the site requires authorization, then in order to transfer the transactions to finance the transactions should be authorized.
  6. If you want the labor cost to always be fetched from the labor class which to the shop order operation is connected, regardless of the employee reporting the operation, select the Override Employee Cost check box.
  7. If you want the quantity to be reported in the Approve Operation dialog box to be suggested by default, select the Default Quantity to Report check box.
  8. If you want the time to be reported in the Approve Operation dialog box to be suggested by default, select the Default Time to Report check box.
  9. If you want by-products to be received in conjunction with approving the operation, select the Receive Byproducts into Inventory after Approve Operation check box.
  10. Save your changes.
  11. Open the Work Center window and search for the relevant work center.
  12. In the Concurrent Operations list box, select whether to allow multiple operations to be run simultaneously on a work center resource or not. If allowed, also specify the behavior of group started operations.
  13. If you want the system to automatically stop the machine clocking when the last labor clocking on the operation is automatically stopped, select the Auto Stop Machine Clocking check box.
  14. If you want the system to automatically stop the labor clocking when the machine clocking on the operation is automatically stopped, select the Auto Stop Labor Clocking check box.
  15. If you want to receive the finished goods of the shop order into inventory when approving the last operation, select the Receive into Inventory on Last Operation check box.
  16. Save your changes.
