Enter Downtime Cause

Explanation

Use this activity to enter a downtime cause. Downtime causes are used to measure and classify periods during which a work center resource is unavailable due to causes such a tool breakage, worker unavailability, machine breakdown etc.

Procedure

1. Open the Downtime Causes window.
2. Create a new line and enter the site which you want the downtime cause to be valid on.
3. Enter an alphanumerical identifier for the downtime cause in the Downtime Cause field, and an appropriate description in the Downtime Cause Description field.
4. Save the record.
   
   Note: If you do not want to use the downtime cause for a period of time, the status can be set to Blocked or Hidden using the right-click menu option.
