Enter Employee or Team
Explanation
Use this activity to enter an employee or a team to the Shop Floor Workbench.
An employee can be identified either by
entering the Employee ID, or by swiping the employee magnetic card.
Prerequisites
- The Reporting Mode has been set to Employee Reporting on
the used site.
- An employee must have been setup in Shop Floor Employee
window, or a team must have been setup in Shop Floor Teams
window, with Workbench User check box selected.
- If predefined filters are used, these filters must be entered in the
Shop Floor Workbench Filters window.
- To identify an employee using
the magnetic card, the card details must have been defined for the user in
the Time Clock
Parameters window.
System Effects
- The shop floor workbench will be opened and the employee or team will be entered in
the header.
- If the team or employee was connected to a Shop Floor Workbench Filter,
the filter values will be entered in shop floor workbench header.

Enter As
Procedure
- Open the Shop Floor Workbench window and click the Enter As
option.
- In the
Enter As
dialog box, enter an Employee ID or
Team ID
by using keyboard, swipe a card or reading a barcode. If you want to enter
as a team you can also choose a team from the list of values.
- Click OK and Shop Floor Workbench will be opened with this employee or
team entered in the header. If the team or employee was connected to a
Shop Floor Workbench Filter, the filter values will be entered in the shop floor workbench
header and the list of operations will be automatically populated.
