Define Scheduling Scenario

Explanation

This activity is used to create a user-defined scenario and group selected objects under it. The objects can be shop orders, work orders, work centers, etc.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that orders are loaded to the Scheduling Client, Simulation Client, Advanced Planning Board or Maintenance Planning Board.

System Effects

A scheduling scenario is created and will be available in the Scheduling Scenarios list in the Gantt Overview pane and under User-Defined Scenarios in the Data Tree/Scenarios tab. The scenario will comprise of the selected objects only and can be used to populate the Gantt Overview pane with them.

Procedure

1. Plot the desired objects in the object table area of the Gantt Overview pane.
2. Click Scheduling Scenarios and then click Save As New Scenario.
3. In the New User Defined Scenario dialog box that appears, enter a name for the scheduling scenario.
4. Click OK. The scenario that you created appears in the Scheduling Scenarios field and also in the Data Tree/Scenarios tab.
