Enter RCM Equipment Information

Explanation

This activity is used to define which equipment that need to be used in RCM Analysis. The item class and process class can be used in equipment object, tool/equipment, and linear asset for this purpose. This need to be done for the all equipment objects, tool/equipments, and linear assets within the company on which the RCM strategy is to be used.

Procedure

Using the Functional Object or Serial Object window:

1. Open the Functional Object or Serial Object window.
2. Enter Item Class under the General tab.
3. Save the information (F12).
4. Go to PM Program tab.
5. Enter Process Class.
6. Save the information (F12).

Using the Objects window:

1. Open the Objects window and search for the required equipment within the RCM Analysis boundary.
2. Enter the required values in the Process Class and the Item Class fields.
3. Save the information (F12).

Using the Tool/Equipment window:

1. Open the Tool/Equipment window.
2. Enter Item Class under the General tab.
3. Save the information (F12).
4. Go to PM Program tab.
5. Enter Process Class.
6. Save the information (F12).

Using the Linear Asset window:

1. Open the Linear Asset window.
2. Enter Item Class under the General tab.
3. Save the information (F12).
4. Go to PM Program tab.
5. Enter Process Class.
6. Save the information (F12).
