Connect Work Task Templates

Explanation

Use this activity to connect work task templates to a PM program.

You can connect work task templates to a PM program. A single work task template can be connected to many PM programs.

Prerequisites

• Work Task templates must have been defined in IFS/Preventive Maintenance.
• The work task templates defined should be active and valid.
• Sites need to be specified in Valid For Sites tab on the PM Program.
• Item Classes need to be specified in Applicable Objects tab on the PM Program.
• The PM program should be in the Preliminary status.

Procedure

Connecting one work task template at a time:

1. Open the PM Program window, and create a new PM program (F5) or query for an existing one (F3).
2. Click the Valid For Sites tab and create a new record if there are any more sites for which the PM program will be valid.
3. Click the Applicable Objects tab and create a new record if there are any more process classes and item classes for which the PM program will be valid.
4. Go to Work Task Templates tab and create a new record (F5).
5. Enter the task template ID and revision in the relevant fields. Use the List of Values. Repeat steps 4 and 5 as often as required.
6. Save the information (F12).
