Connect Process Class and Item Class
Explanation
Use this
activity to add Item class to the PM program. Along with that tool/equipment,
linear assets and equipment objects will be automatically added to the PM
program.
Prerequisites
- Sites need to be specified in Valid For Sites tab on the PM Program.
- Process Class should be defined in the
system.
- Item Class should be defined in the
system.
- Equipment Object needs to have matching Site, Item Class and Process
Class specified.
- Linear Asset needs to have matching Item Class specified.
- Tool/Equipment needs to have matching Item Class specified.
System Effects
As a
result of this activity,
Tool/Equipment,
Linear Assets or Equipment Objects will be filtered accordingly. Also only
work task templates belong to these item classes will be able to add to the PM program.

Procedure

Open the PM Program window, create a new
record (F5) or query for an existing one (F3).

Click the Valid For Sites tab and enter the
sites for which the PM Program will be valid.

Click the Applicable Objects tab and create a
new record in left hand panel.
- In the Process Class ID field, enter
the value. Use the List of
Values to select a suitable value.
- In the Item Class ID field, enter
the value. Use the List of
Values to select a suitable value.
- Save the information (F12).
