Move to New Transport Task

Explanation

This activity is used to move selected transport task lines or handling units to a new transport task.

Prerequisites

System Effects

The selected transport task lines or handling units will be moved from the transport tasks to which they are currently connected, and placed on a new transport task. The ID of the new transport task is visible in the New Transport Task ID field in the New Transport Task dialog box.

Procedure

From the Transport Task/Details tab and the Transport Task Lines window:

  1. Open the Transport Task/Single tab or the Transport Task Lines window.
  2. Select the transport task lines that should be moved.
  3. Right-click and then click Move to New Transport Task.
  4. Select the Set To Fixed check box to make sure that the new transport task is not modified.
  5. Select the Print Transport Task check box to print the transport task.
  6. Select the Open Transport Task check box to open the new transport task once it is created.
  7. Click OK to create the new transport task.

From the Transport Task/Aggregated tab:

  1. Open the Transport Task window and populate or query for the required transport task ID.
  2. Open the Transport Task/Aggregated tab.
  3. Select the handling unit or the transport task lines aggregated per location that should be moved.
  4. Right-click and then click Move to New Transport Task.
  5. Select the Set To Fixed check box to make sure that the new transport task is not modified.
  6. Select the Print Transport Task check box to print the transport task.
  7. Select the Open Transport Task check box to open the new transport task once it is created.
  8. Click OK to create the new transport task.

Note: This can be done both from the upper and the lower pane of the tab.

From the Handling Units on Transport Tasks window:

  1. Open the Handling Units on Transport Tasks window.
  2. Select the handling units that should be moved.
  3. Right-click and then click Move to New Transport Task.
  4. Select the Set To Fixed check box to make sure that the new transport task is not modified.
  5. Select the Print Transport Task check box to print the transport task.
  6. Select the Open Transport Task check box to open the new transport task once it is created.
  7. Click OK to create the new transport task.
