Manage Warehouse Tasks Planning
Explanation
This activity is used to manage and plan a warehouse task by using
multiple filtrations and also to assign or reassign a worker
or a worker group.
It is also possible for the planner to look at the current and future work
load and resource availability balance, as well as ways of making quick changes
to the system in order to regain a convenient work load or resource availability
balance. This includes both very radical mass changes and small ad hoc changes
to both basic data and the current set of open warehouse tasks.
The manager can prioritize the
warehouse tasks as he wish by setting an operative priority.
Prerequisites
- The warehouse workers and worker groups must have been entered with the correct
setup of task types, location groups, and efficiency rates in
Warehouse Task Basic Data/Warehouse Worker tab.
- Warehouse tasks for the current site must not have been generated,
closed, or canceled.
- Stock should not be frozen for counting.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- Desired information will be retrieved as per
selected filter criteria.
- A warehouse worker or worker group will be assigned or re-assigned.
- If the planner makes any changes to the warehouse work or to the
warehouse task, this will affect the work load in some way. He might change the time that
a worker spends on a specific task type so that the available resources increase for this
task type. He could change the requested date finished for a task in order to re-plan it in
time.
- The changes that affect the work load or resource situation are
displayed in Workload per Location Group or in
Workload per
Location Group Graph.
