Get Warehouse Task - Pick List
Explanation
If customer order pick lists are activated in the
Warehouse Task Basic Data/Warehouse
Task Type Setup window, a warehouse task is generated when a pick list is created.
If that is the case, it is possible to report the pick list in warehousing as well.
Warehouse tasks can be assigned to a warehouse worker either before the task
begins or when it begins.
The warehouse tasks are ordered by their latest start date and
priority. If a task is assigned to a warehouse worker before the task begins, this task is
prioritized over other tasks. When a new task is started, it is assigned to a specific
warehouse worker; depending on the task types and the location groups on which he can
work, the next task is selected.
Prerequisites
- The warehouse task type setup must be set for the specific task
type and site. The task must have the Active status in the
Warehouse Task Basic Data/Warehouse Task Type Setup
tab.
- The warehouse worker must be entered for the specified site in the
Warehouse Task Basic Data/Warehouse
Worker tab. Also, the task type and location group must be entered for the
worker and be activated in both the Warehouse
Task Basic Data/Warehouse Worker/Task Type tab and
the
Warehouse Task Basic Data/Warehouse
Worker/Location Group tab.
- A warehouse task must have been created. It is the task type setup
that decides whether a task will be created. You can see any available tasks in
the Warehouse Tasks
window. Also, the task must have the Released status.
System Effects
When a warehouse task is selected, the status of the task is
changed to Started, which means that the actual picking is being performed.
