Copy an Input UoM Group

Explanation

Use this activity to copy an input UoM group. This can be useful when you want to create an input UoM group based on an existing group. This can be for instance when there is a requirement to create a site specific group. When copying an input UoM group, all information is copied; but you can modify the parameters as required, to create a site-specific group.

Note: Usually when an inventory part is created, it will inherit the input UoM group connection from the part catalog record. But if you want, you can connect a site-specific input UoM group to the inventory part. You need to create a copy of the input UoM group, modify entered data to make it site-specific, and then connect this site-specific copy of the input UoM group to the inventory part.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a copy of the selected input UoM group is created.
