Define Subtasks for Task Card
Explanation
This activity is used to connect a subtask to a task card revision. It is possible to connect several subtasks to a task card.
If the selected task card is in the Preliminary status you can choose to
create and connect a subtask or to connect an existing subtask. If the selected
task card is in the Active status you can connect an existing subtask,
provided that at least one resource with the Person demand type is
specified on the subtask.
When a
subtask is connected to a task card, the following rules apply:
- Resource and material requirements can be defined for both the task card
and connected subtasks.
- Zones and access panels cannot be defined for both
the task card and subtask. Note that it is possible
to connect a subtask with zones to a task card with zones if the
task card is in the Preliminary status. However, when this
task card is activated, the zones that are defined on the task card will
be removed automatically.
- Sign off requirements can be defined for both the
task card and subtask.
Prerequisites
- Task cards must have been defined for the part revision.
- Subtasks must have been defined for the same part
revision as the task card.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, subtasks will be connected to a task card. If
the subtask being connected does not already exist, the subtask will be created.
The subtask will be transferred
to the work order together with task cards.
