Define Category with Default Maximum Delays
Explanation
This activity is used to define a deferral category with a maximum delay.
When using fault deferrals, you can define default values for maximum delays
on each deferral category. Note: Using categories is optional. For each
category you need to define the maximum delay for the deferral in number of
days, and/or a maximum number of operational units that are allowed to defer a
fault. When you define item codes, you can use a category to define the deferral
delay, instead of specifying it manually for each item code.
Prerequisites
The fault deferral must have been defined. For more information, refer
the activity Define Fault Deferral.
System Effects
- A category with a default maximum delay is created.
- The category can be used for setting the maximum delay for item codes. For
more information, refer the activity
Define Item Code.
