Define Maintenance Level Part
Explanation
Use this activity to associate maintenance levels and parts. Maintenance
levels are used to identify the operations and components used when
disassembling and reassembling a part for different levels of maintenance work.
Prerequisites
- Maintenance levels must be defined.
- Inventory parts must exist.

As a result of this activity, parts and maintenance levels are associated.

Procedure
Repair Setup Basic Data/Maintenance Level Part:
Follow these steps, in order to perform this activity in this window:
- Open the Repair Setup Basic Data
window.
- Select the Maintenance Level Part tab.
- Select an existing maintenance level, or create a
new record (F5).
- If you create a new record, then specify maintenance level, description
and any note text.
- Save changes, if you created a new record.
- Select the table part of the window, and create a
new record (F5).
- Specify part number, site, maintenance description for the part and any
note text.
- Save (F12).
Inventory Part/Manufacturing MRO/Maintenance Levels: Follow
these steps, in order to perform this activity in this window:
- Open the Inventory Part window.
- In the header query the inventory part with which you wish to associate
the maintenance level.
- Select the Manufacturing MRO tab.
- Select the Maintenance Levels sub tab.
- Enter an existing maintenance level, or select a maintenance level from the
List of Values (F8).
- Save the record (F12).
Optionally you can connect a document text to the maintenance level or the
combination of part and maintenance level:
- Select the appropriate record, right-click
and then click Document Text.
- The Document Texts for Maintenance Level
or Document Texts for
Maintenance Level Part
dialog box opens, depending on which type of record you have selected.
- Create a new record.
- Specify an output type and any note.
- Save (F12) and close the dialog box.
