Connect Work Guideline to Tool

Explanation

Use this activity to connect work guidelines to a tool. Tool guidelines can be created manually or they can be created from a work guideline template.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• If a work guideline template is to be used, it must already be defined in the Work Guideline Template window.
• A tool must also be defined.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system connects work guidelines to a selected tool.

Procedure

1. Open the Manufacturing Tool window.
2. Populate the window and select the tool ID to which you want to add a work guideline.
3. Click the Tool Guideline tab.
4. Select the first record in the table and create a new record (F5). The guideline number will be automatically assigned.
5. To create a tool guideline manually, enter information in the Guideline Desc and Guideline Text fields.
6. To use a tool guideline template, select the new line you just created, then right-click, then click, Copy From Work Guideline Template. Select a work guideline template, then click OK.
7. Repeat steps 25 for each work guideline that you want to connect to the selected tool.
8. Save the record (F12).
