Start Maintenance Event

Explanation

This activity is used to set a maintenance event with the distribution type Simplified Work Order to the Started status. This status is used to indicate that work has started on the event.

Note: For events with distribution types Work Order and Execution Logic Structure, the status of the event will be set automatically to Started when the first task card on the event is started.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, the event must be in the Released status and the distribution type for the event must be Simplified Work Order.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the event is set to the Started status. Additional task cards can be connected to the event and/or predefined task cards on the event can be canceled. When the first event is started, the maintenance order will be started as well.

Procedure

  1. Open the Maintenance Order window and query (F3) for the necessary maintenance order with the distribution type Simplified Work Order.
  2. Click the Maint. Order Str. tab.
  3. In the graphical object structure shown on the left, select the event you want. The Event Details tab will be updated with information on the event.
  4. Right-click, point to Status and then click Start. The Start Maintenance Event dialog box opens.
  5. In the Event Start field, enter the start date of the event.
  6. Observe that the status of the event is changed to Started.

Note: It is also possible set the status of a event to Started in the Maintenance Order/Included Events tab by using the above-mentioned Status feature.
