Reset Incident Notification

Explanation

This activity is used to reset the status of a manual incident notification record. This will revert the status of a completed incident notification thereby enabling you to modify and send the notification again. This option can be used when it is necessary to modify particulars of a notification after it is completed.
Note: Resetting the notification is only available for manual notifications

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, manual incident notification records with Completed status should already exist in the system.

Procedure

To reset incident notifications using the Incident/Distribution tab;

  1. Open the Incident window.
  2. Search or populate to find the required incident report.
  3. Go to the Distribution List tab. All the persons to receive notifications regarding the incident will be listed.
  4. Select the incident notification record with Completed status which you want to revert to the previous status.
  5. Right-click and click Reset. The status of the record will change to To be Alerted.

To reset incident notifications using the Incident Distribution Lists (overview) window;

  1. Open the Incident Distribution Lists window.
  2. Search or populate to find the required incident notifications. You can select notifications linked to multiple incident reports etc.
  3. Select the incident notification record with Completed status which you want to revert to the previous status.
  4. Right-click and click Reset. The status of the record will change to To be Alerted status.
