Use this activity to define a code part that is to be used for consolidation.

Prerequisites

Before defining the code part, the following must have been completed:

• The company must exist in IFS Financials.

As a result of this activity the code part can be used when consolidation transactions are created.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to define the code part:

1. Open Define Code String and find the code parts.
2. Enter optional name for the code part in the Internal Name field.
3. Select Yes in the Code Used field.
4. Select Consolidation in the Code Part Function field.
5. Enter the maximal number of characters.
6. Enter a description in the Description field.
7. Save the information.
