Explanation

In order to enhance performance in capacity calculations and analysis of resources, you should only keep as much detailed data about resource capacity and load that is actually needed.

Further, it is possible to create a snapshot of the resource demands based on a defined time period, to perform resource analysis.

Offset values - in days from the system date – are used to:

• Set for capacity calculations and for archiving old capacity data.

• Decide the time duration to refresh demand for resources in order to analyze resource demand and capacity.

1. Open the Resource Basic Data window
2. Enter values in Capacity Start Offset, Capacity End Offset and Capacity Archive Offset.
3. Enter values in Analysis Snapshot Start Offset (days) and Analysis Snapshot End Offset (days).
4. Save.
