Enter Credit Analyst

Explanation

Use this activity to enter credit analyst positions and to designate credit analyst managers. This mandatory task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person if using credit management.

Credit analysts are used for analyzing customer invoice collection and are assigned to customer accounts for tracking and monitoring purposes, i.e. the customers' credit situation. A credit analyst is a position—not a person. Several users can be linked to the same analyst. Each credit analyst manager is responsible for one or more analyst positions and has query authority for all their accounts. If the analyst is to be linked to a manager, the analyst must be entered first.

Procedure

To perform this activity, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Credit Management Basic Data window.
  2. On the Credit Analyst tab, create a new record.
  3. Enter the ID and description of the credit analyst position.
  4. In the Position list, click the position of the credit analyst.
  5. In the Manager field, select the manager from the List of Values to link the analyst to a manager. To designate this analyst as a manager, leave the field blank.
  6. Save the changes.
