Connect and Disconnect Resource

Explanation

The resource structure can be changed by connecting and disconnecting existing resources and resource groups. The following relations are allowed:

Prerequisites

A resource structure with resources must exist.

Resources are disconnected from and connected to new parents in a resource structure.

Procedure

To only connect a resource:

Option 1

1. Open the Resource Navigator window and select the appropriate resource structure.
2. Select a appropriate resource or group in the navigator tree structure.
3. Select the right mouse button menu option Connect Resource.
4. Select the resource or group in the List of Values.
5. Select OK.

Option 2

1. Open the Resource Navigator window and select the appropriate resource structure.
2. Select a appropriate resource or group in the navigator tree structure.
3. Go to the Resource Group tab.
4. Press "New" (+) button in the Toolbar.
5. Select the resource or group in the List of Values.
6. Save.

 Or:

1. Open the Resource Groups window and select the appropriate resource group.
2. Select the right mouse button menu option Connect Resource.
3. Select the resource or group in the List of Values.
4. Select OK.

    To only disconnect a resource:

Option 1

1. Open the Resource Navigator window and select the appropriate resource structure.
2. Select a appropriate resource or group in the navigator tree structure.
3. Select the right mouse button menu option Disconnect Resource.
4. Select OK.

 Option 2

1. Open the Resource Navigator window and select the appropriate resource structure.
2. Select a appropriate resource or group in the navigator tree structure.
3. Go to the Resource Group tab.
4. Press Delete button on the Toolbar.
5. Save.
