Connect Attribute

Explanation

Use this activity to connect an attribute to a code part value and an attribute value.

Prerequisites

Before an attribute can be connected to a code part value, the attribute must have been defined in Code Part Attributes. An attribute value must have been entered in Attribute Value.

System Effects

As a result of this activity the attribute can be used as a selection term in IFS/Report Generator.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to connect an attribute:

1. Open Code Part Attributes
2. Select the Connect Attribute operation.
3. Use the New function and enter the attribute identity using List of Values. The attribute description and the code part name are displayed.
4. In the Code Part Value field, enter the code part value using List of Values. The code part value description is displayed.
5. In the Attribute Value field, enter the value using List of Values. The value description is displayed.
6. Save the information.
7. Enter more rows in Connect Attribute for the same attribute, but with different code part values.
8. Save when finished.
