Create Depreciation Proposal
Explanation
This activity is used to create one or several depreciation proposals.
Prerequisites
Before creating a depreciation proposal, the following must have been completed:
- Each object that you want to include in the
depreciation proposal must be connected to at least one book and a
depreciation method.
- The object/objects to be included in a depreciation proposal must have Active status.
System Effects
As a result of this activity a depreciation proposal of
the status Created will be created.

Procedure
Use the following procedure to create a depreciation proposal:
- Open the Depreciation Proposals
window or
the Depreciation
Proposal window.
- Right click and then click Create Depreciation Proposal to open the
Create Depreciation Proposal dialog box.
- Specify whether you want to base your selection on company or company
group by selecting either Company or Company Group. Specify a
range of companies or company group to be included.
- Specify a range for which books to create a depreciation proposal for. A
depreciation proposal will be created for each unique combination of company
and book.
- In the Depreciation Year field, enter the
year up to which the selected objects should be depreciated.
- In the Depreciation Period field, enter a
period of the year entered in the Depreciation Year field up to which
the selected objects should be depreciated.
- Enter a description for the depreciation proposal
in the Proposal Description field if necessary.
- Specify whether you want the objects to be
included in the proposal to be selected based on the object or object group
by selecting either Object or Object Group.
- Select Run in Background if you want this activity to be performed as a background job.
- Each row displays a unique combination of Company and book. Each row
will generate a depreciation proposal. Unselect Include if you do not want
to create a depreciation proposal for a specific combination.
- Unselect Create Log check box if you do not want to create a log
file for the depreciation proposal.
- Click OK to close the dialog box.
