Create Amortization Schedule

Explanation

This activity is used to create an amortization schedule by using the right mouse button option Create Amortization Schedule on the header and the General tab of the Lease Accounting Contract window.

Prerequisites

In order to create an amortization schedule, the following must have been completed:

• Information on header and the General tab of the Lease Accounting Contract window should have been entered for a lease contract.
• Terms and conditions line (with Category, Standard Terms) should have been entered in the Terms and Conditions sub tab of the Lease Accounting Contract window.
• Valid interest rate should have been entered in the Interest Rates sub tab of the Lease Accounting Contract window.
• Status of the Lease Accounting Contract window should be in the status Preliminary.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, an amortization schedule will be created in the Amortization Schedule tab of the Lease Accounting Contract window to reflect the future cash flows and the present value calculations therein.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to modify the calculations in an amortization schedule:

1. Open the Lease Accounting Contract window and search for the lease contract for which you want to create an amortization schedule.
2. Select right mouse button option Create Amortization Schedule on the header and the General tab of the Lease Accounting window.
3. Click OK for the message raised.
