Export Column Template/Create System Template

Explanation

Use this activity to create a file for export of a column template to a company in another data base. Alternatively, you can mark the Create System Template box to create a system template, which makes it generally available for all companies in the current data base.

Prerequisites

Before exporting the column template or creating a system template, the column template must have been created, copied or imported.

System Effects

As a result of the export, a column template can be imported to a company in another database. After creating a system template, the template can be displayed in System Templates.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to export a column template:

1. Open Column Templates. Find and mark the template you want to export.
2. Select Operations/Export Column Template.
3. Use the Browse button to select the path and to enter the file name.
4. Save the information.

Use the following procedure to create a system template:

1. Open Column Templates. Find and mark the template for which you want to make a system template.
2. Select Operations/Export Column Template.
3. Mark the Create System Template box.
4. Save the information. The template can then be displayed in System Templates.
