Use this window to view, add, or change information about design failures for Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA). A design failure is the inability of a part to perform its intended function because of weaknesses in its design. Each failure can have one or more causes and effects. Causes are the conditions that result in a failure. Effects are the adverse consequences the customer might experience as a result of the failure. For the description of each tab in the window, follow the appropriate link: Causes, Effects. From the Causes tab, you can right-click and open the FMEA Failure Cause Detailswindow.
