Define Access Groups
Explanation
This activity is used to create, modify and view access groups. Access groups are used to categorize users for use on the
Export License/Access Rights tab to identify restricted grants given by a specific export license.
Prerequisites
To connect an authorizer, the authorizer must have been entered in the Export Control Basic Data/Authorizations
tab.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- An access group is created.
- When used on the Export License/Access Rights tab, access
rights are given to a certain access group.

Procedure
- Open the Export Control Basic Data window.
- Click the Access Groups tab.
- Create a new record.
- Enter an access group ID.
- Enter a description.
- Optionally, enter a note, by double-clicking the Note field which will open a text phrase editor
that enables the user to view the entire text and, to select predefined phrases as entered in the
Document Text Administration/Phrases tab.
- Enter a number in the List of Values order to specify the order that the
record should appear in a List of Values. A blank or zero makes this record
appear top of the List of Values.
- Save the changes.
- In the table area, create a new record.
- Select the authorizer you wish to connect.
- Save the changes.
