Define Access Groups

Explanation

This activity is used to create, modify and view access groups. Access groups are used to categorize users for use on the Export License/Access Rights tab to identify restricted grants given by a specific export license.

Prerequisites

To connect an authorizer, the authorizer must have been entered in the Export Control Basic Data/Authorizations tab.

Procedure

  1. Open the Export Control Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Access Groups tab.
  3. Create a new record.
  4. Enter an access group ID.
  5. Enter a description.
  6. Optionally, enter a note, by double-clicking the Note field which will open a text phrase editor that enables the user to view the entire text and, to select predefined phrases as entered in the Document Text Administration/Phrases tab.
  7. Enter a number in the List of Values order to specify the order that the record should appear in a List of Values. A blank or zero makes this record appear top of the List of Values.
  8. Save the changes.
  9. In the table area, create a new record.
  10. Select the authorizer you wish to connect.
  11. Save the changes.
