Remove Estimate Item

Explanation

Use this activity to remove an item form the estimate tree structure. An item removed means that the record is deleted and it is no longer a part of the work scope. It is possible to delete an item as long no version of the item is in status Confirmed.

Note: It is possible to select the relevant item in the tree structure and use the right-click option Remove Item to delete the item record from the work scope.

Prerequisites

• This activity requires that an estimate header exists in status InProgress, PartlyCalculated or Calculated, at least one version and top item must exists.
• Possible deliverable lines cannot be connected to business opportunity lines.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, an item record is removed from the work scope.

Procedure

1. Open the Estimate window.
2. Search for the Estimate ID which contains the item to delete, or populate the window and click the requested number in the Estimate ID list.
3. Click the Item tab.
4. In the tree structure select the item to remove. Put the cursor in the item header and press the Delete button, save.

Note: Delete of an item record can also be executed by right clicking from the item in the tree structure, select Remove Item.
