Copy as Top Item

Explanation

This activity is used to copy a sub-item within an existing top item to a new top item.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that:

• An estimate exists with at least one top item and one sub-item.
• The estimate header cannot be in Confirmed, Completed, Closed or Canceled status.

System Effects

As a result of this activity a new top item is added to the tree structure.

Procedure

1. Open the Estimate window and query for the required Estimate ID.
2. Click on the first on Items tab
3. Right click from the top object in the tree structure and select Expand Descendents.
4. Select the sub-item in the tree structure to copy, right click and select Copy.
5. Select the top object in the tree structure, right click and select Paste, a new top item is added to the tree structure based on the sub-item.
