Define Estimate Type

Explanation

Use this activity to define and maintain basic data for estimate type. An estimate type describes what type of estimate it is. Some examples of major areas are; manufacturing cost, construction cost, software development cost etc.The estimate type is set in the General tab.

As a result of this activity, an estimate type is defined in the system and can be set in the General tab.

Procedure

  1. Open the Estimate Type window.
  2. Create a new record.
  3. Enter the type code. Can use a maximum of 10 alphanumeric characters.

Note: ID cannot be changed after saving the record.

  1. Enter a description of the estimate type.
  2. If needed you can add notes and comments for internal reference only. A note can be used as a means of forwarding information to someone who will process the object later.
  3. Save.
