Analyze Estimate Cost

Explanation

Use this activity to view the cost build-up. Depending on what procedure that is used you can analyze:

• Where the costs originated in the estimate structure.
• Costs per item and cost element
• Total cost per top item, revision and version

Prerequisites

Estimate calculation should have been performed.

Procedure

By using the Calculation Result tab:

1. Open Estimate and select the Item tab and then select any product or generic item in the tree structure and click the Calculation Result tab.
2. Analyze how how the cost is build up per cost element for the selected item.
3. To analyze further how the cost is built up, right click on any cost element in Calculation Result tab and click Estimate Cost Build-up.
4. Estimate Cost Build-up window opens and the cost build-up can be studied.

By using the Summary tab:

1. Open Estimate and select the Summary tab.
2. For all top items analyze how how the cost is build up per version.
3. To analyze further how the cost is built up per cost element, in the pie chart in Summary tab click on the slice that represent the desired cost element.
4. Estimate Cost Build-up window opens and the cost build-up can be studied.
