Establish Connectivity Installation Site

Explanation

Use this activity to establish a connectivity installation site, enabling the messaging framework. Please, note that this not is the same as an inventory site. This can be thought of as the database you are working in. Anything can be entered as the site.

The installation site contains information used by IFS/Connectivity to transport data from the Outbox to the Inbox. The Site ID column connects a receiver with a physical database link. If an installation site is created without any database link, the data will be transmitted within the same database and the same application owner.

The installation site also includes information used by replication, such as any differences in hours between the different sites and which site that is the current site.

Prerequisites

Administrator access is required. Consult your system administrator for assistance.
