Define Permit Type and Isolation Type Connections
Explanation
Use this activity to define the number of connections
between a permit type and an isolation type. When connecting an isolation order to a
permit, the system checks if a connection exists between the
respective isolation type and permit type as well for the the number of connections.
You are not permitted to connect isolation orders that exceed this number.
Prerequisites
- Permit types must be defined in
Work Order and PM Basic Data/Permit Types.
- Isolation types must be defined in
Work Order and PM Basic Data/Isolation Types.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, you can connect isolation
orders to permits based on the connections defined.

Procedure
- Open the
Work Order and PM Basic Data
window and click the
Allowed Connections Permit/Isolation tab.
- Create a new record (F5).
- Enter a permit type in the Permit Type
field. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
- Enter the isolation type in the Isolation Type
field. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
- Specify the number of connections that can exist
in the No. Of Connections field.
- Save the information (F12).
